€10,38
An Οrigin blend from the regions Yirgacheffe and Guji, combining natural and washed processes.
Yirgacheffe is a district in Southern Ethiopia’s Sidamo region and is widely recognized as one of coffee’s ‘birth regions.’ Idido washing station is located at 1,960 to 2,090 meters above sea level in Yirgacheffe and the farmers cultivate coffee cherries in the surrounding area. The wet and dry seasons create prime conditions for coffee processing. Farming methods in the region remain traditional, whereas Yirgacheffe farmers typically intercrop their coffee plants with other food crops, to maximize land use and provide food for their families.
Guji region produce a spectacular coffee profile that’s floral, complex and sweet. Arsosala washing station was built in 2016 in the Guji highlands. Farmers in the region began cultivating coffee fairly recently. As a result, the trees are young and their quality and yields are high. About 1,200 coffee farmers deliver to the station and Arsosala pays a 5-10% premium to incentivize high-quality cherry selection.
